Airport and VisaMaldives has five international airports connecting with direct flights to 22 countries and no visa restriction for 30 days for all nationalities for tourists only (the visa issue is really helpful to IIOA Conference attendees). Travel is more convenient and time efficient with direct flights:
Clearly, attendees from other countries there will more time and changeover(s) involved. The Traveller Declaration is a self-declaration form that is FREE of charge and should be submitted directly through the IMUGA portal. Please refrain from filling out the form on any other website, as they promote scams. All travellers must submit the Traveller Declaration within 96 hours of their flight time, both on arrival and departure. Imuga: https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/traveller Malé is connected to the Airport and Hulhumalé by a bridge, allowing easy access within a 10-15 minute taxi ride. Hulhumalé, a reclaimed island and a rapidly developing urban extension of the capital, offers residential areas, commercial hubs, and a range of beachfront accommodations for travellers. Despite its compact size, Malé is a dynamic urban centre characterised by modern high-rises, ongoing development, and a blend of history and progress. It serves as the main transit point for travellers to the Maldives, with Velana International Airport located on the adjacent island. Velana International Airport also provides international and domestic connections as the gateway to the Maldives' resort islands and beyond.
