Young Researchers' Night

Introduction

The Young Researchers’ Night has become a regular and popular feature of the IIOA Conference since the 2016 IIOA Conference in Seoul, Korea.

This evening event provides an excellent opportunity for networking between attendees of all ages, topic interests, etc. but is primarily trying to focus on the young scholar to develop existing work, new ideas, contacts, friendships, etc. in a non-formal environment and atmosphere. However, not only the young are invited but everyone who feels young and those who want to connect with the young are more than welcome.

2019 IIOA Young Researchers’ Night venue and location

The Drygate Brewing Co. is the UK's first experiential craft brewery. An ideal relaxed venue for networking for the Young Researchers’ Night.

The Beer Hall in Drygate's has been selected for the informal networking evening - the room has informal bench seating, round table seating and ideal for a fun-packed evening. The Vintage craft beer kitchen and bar, a panoramic glass wall allows guests to watch the brewery in action, while the Drygate Studio Kit offers everyone the opportunity to experiment and create their own 'DIY' brew.

If you wish to create your own "DIY" brew, please contact Drygate Brewery directly as such requests are needed around 10 weeks in advance to allow completion for all the production processes to make the brew.

The Young Researchers’ Night will be held at 19.00 on Tuesday, 2^nd July 2019 at the Drygate Brewery. The address is shown above.

Details of the evening

This is an increasingly popular event. The cut-off will be the first 150 people registering interest.

There will be a Quiz Session aka in the 2018 IIOA Conference in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. The Quiz theme(s) will be a surprise for the evening and there will be prizes for the Top Three placed teams.

Other points of information:

• Food and drink will be provided.
• Finger buffet will be provided with gluten free, vegetarian and meat options as well as a selection of sandwiches.
• Four drink vouchers will be provided on arrival covering pints from the core range as well as medium red wine and white wine and all the mainline spirits and mix.
• Any drinks beyond the vouchers will not be covered and will need to be purchased separately at the bar.
• Last orders will be at 22.30.
• The cost for the evening will be GBP 20.00 per person.
