The UK Office for National Statistics will host the 27th IIOA Conference in collaboration with University of Strathclyde, Fraser of Allander Institute, Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council.

Please note the following key dates in your diary:

Announcement of 2019 IIOA Conference 28th June 2018
Continuous marketing plan, website launched, social media, etc. 1 August 2018
Submission of organised session proposals open 1 October 2018
Abstract submission through COPASS begins 3 December 2018
Last date for submission of organised session proposals 28 December 2018
Last date for submission for abstracts 28 January 2019
Last date for submission for travel grants 11 February 2019
Conference registration opens 14 March 2019
Hotel registration opens 14 March 2019
Final date for notification of acceptance abstract 18 March 2019
Last date for application and submission of full paper for Leontief Prize 1 April 2019
Last date for application and submission of full paper for Development Programme 1 April 2019
Early registration ends 1 May 2019
Last date for submission of full papers 1 May 2019
On-line registration ends 1 June 2019

Please note, there are three NECESSARY CONDITIONS for securing a spot on the final programme:

  • acceptance of an abstract;
  • submission of an electronic version of the full paper; AND
  • completion of registration and payment of the appropriate IIOA Conference fee by the presenter.

The Chair of the Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to withdraw any paper(s) from the programme if it is found that the corresponding presenter shall not show up to the IIOA Conference.
