Strathclyde is a leading technological university in the heart of Glasgow, which is Scotland’s largest city.

The Technology and Innovation Centre is a world class research hub and offers state of the art conferencing facilities within easy reach of transport networks and hotels across Glasgow. These features also link nicely to the 2019 IIOA Conference Vision of keeping our climate footprint down to a minimum.

On the other side of the campus, the neo-gothic grandeur of the Barony Hall is a stunning backdrop and well worth a visit.

Specific events

The Technology and Innovation Centre is where the 2019 IIOA Conference will host many of its functions, in particular:

• IIOA Council Meeting (Executive Room A);
• ISIOA Reception and Training Sessions (foyer and Conference Rooms 1-5);
• I-O Buddy Gathering (foyer);
• Parallel Sessions (see below);
• Plenary Session Keynote Speakers (Auditorium);
• Flash Presentation Competition Sessions (Auditorium);
• Panel Session (Auditorium); and
• Annual General Assembly (Auditorium)

The Parallel Sessions will be held across 12 rooms:

• Conference Rooms 1-8 (on Level 3);
• Executive Rooms A and B (both on Level 9);
• Auditorium A; and
• Level 1 Auditorium.

The Poster Exhibition as well as the morning, lunch and afternoon refreshment breaks will be held in the foyer, either on Level 2 or Level 3 (as appropriate).
